To answer your needs in terms of assays or pilots, ENOVEO is equipped to perform tailor-made assays under laboratory conditions including respirometric assays, percolation tests, treatability, and feasibility studies under controlled conditions.
Here we present a non-exhaustive description of tests we offer. Do not hesitate to contact us for questions not covered here.
When a clean-up project requires a chemical oxidation or reduction to be considered, ENOVEO offers feasibility studies under laboratory conditions in order to evaluate the most suited approached and define the best strategies for pollution control and to help design remediation technologies. An important element of the design is to determine the Soil Oxidant Demand (SOD). Based on methods developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Soil Oxidant Demand testing that we use to assess the chemical oxidation of pollutants are based on the use of oxidizing agents such as permanganate, persulfate or Fenton’s reagent (hydrogen peroxide and iron).
Conducting laboratory column tests can be an alternative to batch or microcosm tests which do not take incorporate the structure of the terrain. ENOVEO is able to scale column tests in order to meet your needs on a large number of issues (e.g., percolation, gravity flow, stabilization…).
The design of a remediation project usually involves the completion of feasibility or treatability tests. The objective of these tests is to assure that the rehabilitation project envisioned on site is viable.
Whether the studies are performed under laboratory conditions or on-site, ENOVEO is able to offer a range of different feasibility studies for the remediation of different compounds. Here is a list of common contaminants for which we have already performed feasibility studies: Petroleum hydrocarbons, PAHs, chlorinated solvents, polar solvents, PCBs, heterocyclic compounds, pesticides, chromium VI, BTEX, nitronaphthalenes, explosives (TNT, RDX, HMX), perchlorates, anilines…
